The Concept

For this styled shoot, I partnered with the unbelievably talented Cassandra Daye Photography, a Albany wedding photographer and good friend of mine. We wanted to combine classical elegance and the romance of the New England coastline with unique, edgy, organic elements. We approached Queen Anne’s Loft (a Newport, Rhode Island wedding venue) with our concept for the styled shoot, and we were so thrilled they said yes since they were the perfect fit for our vision: with both old-school elegance and a bright, open, blank slate for us to bring in our creativity. Yah Studio and Sweet Talk Floral made all our styling dreams come true with edgy florals, bespoke furnishings, colorful candles, and unique glasses. We were lucky enough to incorporate a model couple as well as an additional bride model. We had a classic black suit from Jonathan Reid Menswear, complete with a black bow tie and patent leather shoes for our groom. Because we had two brides, we were able to create two completely unique looks- one with a fairy tale wedding gown and curls, and the other with a sleeveless gown and elegant up-do.
